The Japanese man gets thrown through a paper wall, slides across several tatani on the floor, and finally slams head-first into a wooden partition. His attacker asks, “Where… is… Blofeld?”
“Cai – cai – CAIRO!” replies the man, with his attacker’s hands around his neck.
The scene shifts to a casino in Cairo. A man wearing sunglasses and a fez says, “Cards!” to the dealer. The dealer throws two cards at him.
“Hit me, ” says the man in the fez. Someone grabs the man by the shoulder, spins him around in his chair, and punches him in the face. The man in the fez falls across a roulette table.
His attacker grabs him by the lapels. “One chance,” says the attacker. “Where can I find him?”
“Marie,” whispers the man in the fez.
The scene shifts again to the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the Côte d’Azur, where a woman is sunbathing in a bikini. Looking up from a newspaper, she spots a man approaching her. “Who are you?” she asks.
“My name is Bond,” says the man, “James Bond.”
The woman smiles, and rolls to one side, “Is there something I can do for you?” she asks.
Bond moves closer. “Yes, as a matter of face, there is,” he replies, putting his arms around her. “There’s something I’d like you to get off your chest.” Bond unclasps the woman’s bikini top and wraps it around her neck. As he tightens the bikini top, he asks, “Where is Ernst Stavro Blofeld?” She gasps for breath as Bond continues to tighten the strap around her neck. “Speak up, darling – I can’t hear you.”
The scene is replaced by the close-up photo of a man’s nose, followed by different images and clay models of a man’s face.
“We now come to Phase Four, the nose,” says a technician. The camera pans back to reveal more images of the same face, with the nose edges surrounded by calipers. “In my opinion-” begins the technician.
