The MGM logo appears, with the words “Ars Gratia Artis” appearing over Leo, the seventh MGM lion. Leo roars.
The MGM logo fades and is replaced by the 1990 United Artists logo. “An MGM Company” is the slogan under the logo.
A white circle moves left to right across the screen, blinking six times before becoming a gun barrel at the right of the screen. The gun barrel reverses direction, trained on the black-and-white image of James Bond, who is wearing a Trilby hat. Bond suddenly turns toward the gun barrel, and fires with a previously unseen gun. The gun barrel wavers back and forth as bright red blood oozes from the top of the screen. The Monty Norman James Bond theme plays.
The gun barrel fades, and returns to being a white circle, then dissolves into a scene inside a traditional Japanese tea room. The quiet scene is interrupted by a screaming man who’s been thrown through one of the tea room’s paper walls. He lands on the tea table, destroying it.
“Where is he?” asks an unseen man. The screaming man is kicked in the face by his attacker. “I shan’t ask you politely next time,” says the attacker, picking the man up and throwing him into another wall.
